Does anyone know any good ghost tours in Los Angeles?
Tours that are sort of similar to “Scariest Places on Earth”, except they’re in CA (obviously) and a tour guide is preferred. Or something like Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures…anything that will provide us with hands on investigation..
ANYTHING that you know will help A LOT!!!
thanks!
Should Singapore promote ghost tours as a tourist attraction?
It might be thrilling for adventure seekers looking for something rather then the “usual haunts” of Sentosa, Orchard Road etc. Sure the market might be small, but you never know, it might be a trend or something. Think about it, Singapore weakness is that it is small and it does not have a rich cultural heritage compared to other countries. But, one thing it does have is a reputation as Asia’s most haunted place( partly thanks to the Japanese occupation and the large amount of bomohs and mediums in Singapore )You would be surprised how many “ghosts” actually resides in Singapore!
Currently, SPI a paranormal investigation group holds such tours. They have tours where they explore cemeteries, haunted houses and even demonstrations of tangkis( some sort of medium ) who will be possessed in the ritual and would be impervious to injury, doing dangerous acts such as getting strike by a real sword and showing no obvious wounds or whatsoever. Below is their company website…

I believe that the large amount of haunted places in Singapore is one of Singapore’s biggest strengths.…Where can I suggest this to the tourism board or something

Where in the WORLD should I go to?
So for this summer, I have been considering traveling by myself to a foreign country and experience a different culture for a week or two. I’m an 18 year old male and I just want to go on adventures and feel free from any obligations. I also want a place I can learn from others and grow ( examples a Buddhist temple, Egyptian pyramids, holy sites, pilgrimages, etc…) However I can’t decide which place to go.
Have you been to any interesting places you would recommend? I there a place you have heard of?
Keep in mind I really mean just being on my own, no tour guides, no fancy living accommodations, no protection. So crime rates and ability to find a place to sleep are important.
If the clients cancel a Safari adventure holiday trip to Kenya, is it safe to make a Tour to Tanzania??
Safaris to East Africa is Great! Currently there is ongoing civil violance in Kenya.
Many Tourists are thinking to cancel their trip, is it possible to visit Tanzania?
How do you like this story?
Around the World…a dream too BIG.
“Yessss!! I finally get to travel the world,” the girl thought to herself as she is whisked away on a KLM flight destined for Amsterdam. She brings out a planner from her purse as she reviews the course of her 3-month trip. She again utters some thank yous to her aunty who had managed to rack up enough money and purchase her an around the world flight ticket for her eighteenth birthday. The plane has now landed and it is a happy sunny day in Amsterdam as opposed to the gloomy rainy Boston she just left. She leaves the airport and enters the city. In her excitement, she can’t help but use the little Dutch she learned from her phrasebooks. Hoe gaat het met u vandaag?(how are you today?) she says to people as she prances around, looking for a taxi to take her to her hotel. This was only the beginning of many wonderful adventures to come.
She twirls around in her newly purchased wooden clogs all over Holland. She heads over to Berlin and is just in time for an amazing Rammstein concert. She takes a tour in Jerusalem to experience the Wailing Wall and the Dome of the Rock herself. She takes a dive with the dolphins in the Caribbean. She falls in love at a nightclub in Barcelona. She lives out her myth in Athens and Santorini. She enjoys the Songkran Festival in Bangkok. She marvels at the Sphinx and the Pyramid of Khafre in Egypt. She is astounded by the Taronga zoo in Sydney. She is intrigued at the site of the aged beauty of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. She hops on a train headed for London just as it begins to rain. She closes her eyes to sleep during the long journey. She feels cold drops of water on her forehead. She wakes up, staring at the huge leak in her ceiling. It thunders outside as the rain pours on. She is in her room back in Boston. The dull gray of the early morning rain casts looming shadows of nearby trees on her wall. She hears her mother give a weak cough in the next room of the shack. She sighs. “Just another dream” she says to herself. “Just another fairytale that I will never be able to afford to live.”
its a vignette i wrote for literature class. how is it? hows the ending? should i change the title? i need opinions please… thanks =)
thanks guys, i’ll take everything you said into consideration. lol and i’ll change the clogs part, thank you all…i’ll pick a best answer later

Alaskan Cruise, are the day tours worth the expense in your experience?
Are the day tours the cruise line offer worth the cost and are they/were they pleasant for you?
Any particular tours you liked and why?
We (2 of us) are kinda thinking of just getting off the boat when it docks and finding our own adventures, maybe renting a car etc for the day and checking things out. Whatever. Being spontaneus. Is this a good way to do it or do you have any other insights/awarenesses or suggestions? Thanx!
Thanx to all of you for your sage advice and for sharing your expereinces. It has helped a lot!
